Global Process & Quality Manager, OBT

Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) is a Business Unit within the Volvo Group, which provides effective global solutions in the areas of product planning, purchasing, product development and Product Range Management for the four truck companies; Mack Trucks Inc., Nissan Diesel, Renault Trucks and Volvo Truck Corporation.

On-board Telematics (OBT) is a global department within GTT Vehicle Engineering, established to secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for soft products. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services such as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. OBT main operations are located in Sweden, United States, India and Japan.

To strengthen our operations we are looking for a Global Process & Quality Manager. You will lead and coordinate process and quality activities across the sites, and be a member of the global management team.

Global Process & Quality Manager

Core Responsibilities
- As part of the management team establish long and short term plans for operations development
- Lead and coordinate process and quality activities across the sites, including negotiation and follow-up of yearly targets
- Proactive quality assurance within our product development for successful project execution and increased product quality
- Reactive quality management for quality cases from the field
- Conducting process reviews and audits to assure process quality and process adherence globally
- Follow-up and support increased customer satisfaction
- Coach our employees working with quality and process improvements
- Represent OBT in external networks and forums

Required Qualifications
- Master?s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant product development experience
- Documented experience of process and quality management, including industry standard process improvement models and methodologies that are commonly used within automotive industry e.g. CMMI and ISO26262.
