In this role, you will collaborate with both R&D and P&L and continuously work to improve our product design. The aim is to ensure good quality and assemblability of parts of the engine and contribute to our constant development. Digitalization within this area is a prioritized focus and it is important that you are interested and skilled in this area.

Your main duties 


• Collaborate with R&D and P&L in the Product Development Process to ensure the assembly process according to agreed product and production targets, with regards to Work Environment (Scania Ergonomic Standard), Quality (risks/deviations), Delivery (capacity, direct flow) and Economy (product and process costs).
• Perform and lead digital and physical product and process evaluations using e.g. Virtual Reality.
• Spread information about product and process changes triggered by Product Development Projects in engine assemblies globally.
• Develop and run process development projects locally and cross-functionally with R&D as well as within P&L including Södertälje, Brazil, MAN and Navistar.

You master Swedish and English in speech and writing, and are used to working in Office 365. We are looking for you with a relevant educational background from college/university or Scania technician education.

Our business & organization

Within Global Product Engineering, we are responsible for production development in the Product Development Process. Our team consists of 13 target-oriented and motivated team members. We have and will always aim to have a wide diversity within our team.

Global Product Engineering is part of the organization Global Product & Process Engineering, where the organization is located in Södertälje. The global organization consists of Product Engineers, Process Engineers, Project Managers and Project Assemblers. The organization represents Production in the cross-functional work with R&D where the goal is to secure project introductions with zero deviations.

Our customers are the engine assemblies in Södertälje, Scania Brazil, MAN in Germany and Navistar in USA.
