Job Description
As Global Manager within R&D you are part of one Global Management team who acts with other people in mind, prioritizing safety and well being. Ensuring that we maintain an inclusive workplace and striving to continuously diversify our teams in terms of gender, age, culture, experience and perspectives. This is considered within Underground R&D to be a fundamental requirement for building world-class teams and being able to deliver innovative solutions and products for people and planet.
In the role you are expected to act as the enabler for customer demands and secure we are technology leader of all portfolios within mandate. You are also responsible for a safe, diverse and qualitative mindset in all R&D activities and that they are performed in the most efficient way of working, optimizing time to revenue.

As Global R&D Manager Operational Excellence it’s in your area of responsibility to strategically monitor, evaluate and safeguard engineering processes, methods and standards to secure todays ‘and future efficiency. Furthermore, it’s within your responsibility to secure appropriate project portfolio execution, execute prototype builds & verification in an efficient and professional manner to support the entire R&D development process, as well as drive the systems engineering department to be an efficient provider of machine systemizations that are meeting the portfolio needs.   
Personality requirements
You have always safety-first in mind and a strong collaboration approach where you easily build good relationship and trust. You have a positive outlook for the future with creative problem solving capabilities, ability to think beyond how things have been done to how they can be optimized for efficiency/benefit. Ability to see the big picture (strategic thinking).  You are able to manage multiple projects without sacrificing schedule or quality. We have English as our company language.  
Experience & knowledge requirements

* Experience working in complex, interdisciplinary, cross-functional and global teams
* Proven people management skills and ability to build efficient teams
* You have experience from, or interest in, lead through others

* Knowledge and experience in product- and technology development and processes

Location and travel
