Your mission
As the Global Sales and Marketing Data Scientist your mission will be to support our global sales and marketing teams with market intelligence and insights, gained from analyzing company and external data. Through large data sets find optimization opportunities for people- process - technology by using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. You will create dashboards and interactive visual reports to enable business decision making and business results from data-based insights. Enabling the company to become data centric through customer centricity. This will be done through close collaboration with colleagues from the relevant functional areas within the Product Companies and Customer Centers. 
Job Overview
We are now looking for a Data Scientist who will support our global sales and marketing teams with market intelligence and insights gained from analyzing company and external data. The ideal candidate is skilled at using large data sets to find optimization opportunities for people- process - technology by using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. You have strong experience using a variety of data modelling methodologies, and tools, as well as building and implementing models, using/creating simulations.
You thrive to ensure high quality, accuracy and efficiency of both data and your deliverables. You are comfortable with creating dashboards and interactive visual reports to enable business decision making and business results from data-based insights.
As this is a new role, you will be able to impact the design of this role.
The role is including but not limited to; ensure accuracy and efficiency of sales and marketing related data. Participate in projects and ad-hoc initiatives where your competencies are required as well as communicate with business stakeholders highlighting where data and info is missing, to drive improvements.  You will also do market analysis, combining internal and external data sources, develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze performance and data accuracy. The role also includes to design, test and deploy Dashboards/Power BI scripts, to transform raw data into meaningful insights.

 We see that you have strong work experience from market intelligence from an international company, as well as experience from managing stakeholders across multi-functional, multi-site and multi-sales channels​.  You also have knowledge of advanced statistical techniques, concepts, and experience with applications.
​This position will be reporting to Epiroc Marketing Council Lead.
 As our corporate language is English, strong written and verbal communication skills in English is required.
Location
Location of applicant can be global, preferable location is one of our major Customer Centers or Production Centers.
