Work Description
We are searching for a Junior Graphic Designer for our client, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Solna.

Tasks:
• Support the work of the editorial team for ECDCs regular journal (called Eurosurveillance) with the lay-out of the electronic and print version of the journal
• Provide and develop graphical presentations that meet the high scientific standards of the journal
• Contribute to the visual identity of ECDC by providing high quality lay-out services and actively creating graphical solutions for the various scientific publications of ECDC
• Support the internal communication team with design material for print and web (intranet) purposes, develop design proposals for leaflets, posters etc.
• Work closely with public health experts to produce infographics and data visualisations based on ECDC data and key messages

You will get an employment as a consultant with Manpower. The assignment is to start 15 April and until last of September with possible extension. The role is for full-time.

Competences and experience

• University education in the relevant area and a few years of professional work experience with similar work
• Very important to have is proven experience in graphic design, layout and web design
• Proven experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
• Experience in data visualisation is advantageous
• Excellent English skills and the ability to work under pressure in a team
• High level of service orientation and customer service spirit
• Very good organizational skills: a planned approach to tasks and ability to prioritize
• Very good communication skills
