Group Design Leader

ALTEN is now looking for an experienced engineer and design leader to strengthen our team within Seats development. We are looking for someone who thrives in complex environments and is motivated by tackling hard, challenging assignments.

 

Your role

As a Component Owner/Design Leader (GDL) in the Seats domain, you will play a key role in leading and coordinating design work, driving technical solutions and managing requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will:
Take ownership of component responsibility and lead design activities within seats
Manage and balance technical complexity, cost and timing in demanding projects
Drive cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across development, manufacturing and suppliers
Handle and secure large cost responsibilities, ensuring both performance and business goals are met
Be part of a growing, skilled team at ALTEN working closely with world-leading OEMs


Your profile
Previous experience as a GDL (Group Design Leader/Component Owner)
Strong ability to handle complexity and thrive in challenging projects
A background as a seat engineer or seat design engineer is highly meritorious
Experience from VCC (Volvo Cars) as GDL is a strong advantage
Proven ability to handle large budgets and cost responsibility
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and influence stakeholders
