We are looking for a new team member to join Volvo Group Accounting & Consolidation willing to take on exciting challenges in an organization committed to deliver quality and efficiency in financial reporting.


Who are we?
Group Accounting & Consolidation is a function within Group Financial Reporting & Business Control with responsibility for governance of the Volvo Group consolidation process, development, and implementation of accounting policies (IFRS) for the Volvo Group and the external financial reporting including related processes. This responsibility includes ownership of accounting instructions, timetables, and structures in financial systems.

We offer you an interesting challenge in a global and fast paced environment working close to Group Management. You will be a key player working in an important and interesting project handling the accounting related issues such as processes, instructions, accounting models, internal controls and communication and be the sounding board to decision makers. You will work in close cooperation with our legal department, tax and chief accountants in legal companies. The processes and procedures are under development which gives the opportunity to design the role as the project develops. In the near future, we foresee that you will drive the implementation of an IT system support for accounting purposes.


Within Group Accounting you will be part of a global and diverse team of skilled and high-performance professionals who work together with passion and trust each other in an open and positive atmosphere.


Core responsibilities:
Coordinate the accounting process for an important and complex project and be the touchpoint for internal and external stakeholders
Support management with the accounting perspective and information in important decisions related to the project
Run the Volvo financial model for a complex project and verify the calculations and output from the model
Drive IT-implementation of the financial model in a system solution
Ensure internal controls are being implemented, followed and documented in a proper way
Control all expenses and payment flows related to the project
Communicate and assure alignment with external and internal auditors

Who are you:
You are curious and don’t hesitate to embrace complex questions to gain an overall understanding.
You are also not afraid to take decisions, but you have a feeling for when anchoring is needed.


You have an academic degree in accounting with a minimum of three to five years accounting experience combined with an interest in IT and process management. You are proficient in Excel. Experience from multi-cultural and global finance operations is a plus. You need to have ability to hold a holistic view and embrace complex situations.


You are positive, flexible, driven and you have a solution-oriented mindset. It is important that you are structured and well-organized and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You have a genuine interest in accounting combined with analytical skills and are looking to develop your skills in these areas.
