Groups Advisor -Gothenburg

Our Company is an international online hotel reservation business specialised in quality hotel accommodation at discounted rates. We are a growing Company with a dynamic and vibrant team. We are now seeking a Groups Advisor with previous relevant experience to manage all group bookings and queries and to provide first class customer service advice to the company clients by identifying and providing solutions to customer needs in a timely and professional manner.

Duties and responsibilities:


-Receive groups requests (relating to Scandinavia) on a daily basis from the agent and sales offices via in-house computer system, email or fax and prioritising the work load according to deadlines, arrival dates etc
-Research appropriate suppliers including the utilisation of non-contracted suppliers (hotels) wherever appropriate
-Proactively follow up on group bookings to ensure that the service has been to the expected standard
-Manage with all operational matters such as amendments, price changes, rooming, and follow up of cancellation and payments terms and conditions
-Negotiate the best possible rates and conditions
-Maintain and build on relationships with existing customers and suppliers
-Deliver a first class customer service and recognise the importance of customer retention and relationships with suppliers/other departments within the organisation.
-Prioritise the workload according to deadlines
-Portrays a professional approach to customers at all times


The successful candidate will have previous experience in:

Essential:

-Experience working in a customer facing role
-Fluency in spoken and written English and Swedish
-Experience in the management of group bookings
-Computer literate
-Good negotiation and influencing skills
-Accuracy, research skills and attention to details
-Team working skills
-Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
-Resilience and open to working in an ever-changing environment
-A can do approach and willingness to take ownership for decisions

Desirable:
-Travel industry experience
-Travel related qualification
-Knowledge of any other European languages

Hours of work:

This is a full time, permanent role. The core hours of work in the Call Centre are between 8.00 and 18.00 Monday to Friday and between 10.00 and 18.00 on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
