The arena AstraZeneca is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, with a broad range of medicines designed to fight disease in important areas of healthcare.We are active in over 100 countries with growing presence in important emerging markets; corporate office in London UK; major R&D sites in Sweden, the UK and the US.We employ around 12.000 people in research and development and spend over $16 million every working day on the discovery of new medicines that meet patient needs The role This is a key finance role within the IS Performance Group business partnering team supporting the Global Technology & Operations (GTO) division, which manages the global infrastructure requirements of the AstraZeneca organisation.The person will be working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner in providing quality financial analysis; forecasts and customer support, as well as developing better global finance processes for the GTO organisation.- To support the month-end process for GTO, run to tight timescales - To support the GTO budget and forecasting processes - Oversight of staff / contractors to ensure excellent delivery standards and promote good team working - Pro-actively working with local managers to identify finance issues and opportunities and having the communication skills and confidence to effectively influence and challenge decisions.- To support the creation and financial management of investment business cases, providing guidance to customers on costs and potential savings targets.- Help to identify key risks financial and non-financial on projects ensuring these are being managed and reported appropriately - Supporting the Business Partner in driving through harmonisation of processes and cost structures at a GTO global level to improve reporting efficiency and consistency.Also being an active member of the ISPG team.- To work with the business to ensure that appropriate levels of financial control exist that comply with regulatory requirements and provide regular quality reporting as appropriate.Minimum experience/requirements (Part)/ Qualified Accountant Excellent PC skills: Excel; PowerPoint  SAP / Oracle experience usefulâ Proven financial and management accounting experience.
