Rocktec is a division within Atlas Copco?s Mining and Rock excavation business area. It designs, develops and manufactures rock drills, rotation units and automation solutions in the form of our rig control systems (RCS). Rocktec also provides specialist engineering services to other divisions.

Job description
We are looking for a designer to work in our Rig integration team with product development of control systems and automation solutions for our mining and construction equipment. You will be involved in the ongoing development of our current control systems as well as implementation of new functionality that enables a higher level of automation for our products. We function as a technical resource for the entire business area.

The tasks are varied and you will participate in projects from idea to delivery. To meet customers? expectations, customer visits and dialogue are a natural part of your tasks.

The work includes specification of requirements, design of control systems and components in all phases from idea to product completion, implementation of qualification tests, documentation, product launch, commissioning and ongoing support to users and manufacturers. The work will be in close cooperation with the other divisions within the business area.

Education, Knowledge and Experience
We are looking for candidates with a BSc or MSc in electronic engineering. You have some years of experience in control systems and automation for harsh environments. Knowledge in computer networks, CAN-bus, wireless communication, testing and documentation is desirable.

Experience in electronic design for heavy vehicles is meritorious.

English is the corporate language. Your contacts both internal and external will be many so a very good command of english, both orally and in writing, is required.
