H2 Green Steel is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. Head of Accounting and Financial Control

As Head of Accounting and Financial Control at H2GS you report to the CFO and are responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and financial compliance within the organization. You will oversee the work of our accounting function / Shared Service Center and ensure that financial reports are accurate and meet all regulatory requirements.

You will also be responsible for developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures and provide guidance on financial matters to other departments within the organization. This involves the long-term development of the H2GS Financial Manual and all included/ related standards.

In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with external auditors and ensuring that the organization's financial statements are audited in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Skills & Experience

A minimum of 10+ years experience

Experience overseeing the work of accounting staff

Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles in Sweden, including IFRS

Up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting requirements

Auditing experience is preferred but not required

Experience from working with NetSuite is a merit

Fluency in English (Swedish merit)
