Head of Accounting - Arla, Stockholm

Arla is now searching for a Head of Accounting in our Account to Report department (A2R) to our office in Solna, Stockholm, This is a great opportunity to become part of a dynamic and international finance team. In this position there is a perfect mix of local partnership with the Swedish finance department and global process optimization together with your colleagues all over EU and UK.

About the role

As Head of Accounting in , you will operate across many levels of our global organisation as a key partner. You will manage one direct report and will yourself report to Director A2R Finance positioned in DK. In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will:

• Lead accurate monthly and year-end reporting in the consolidation tool according to Arla reporting rules (IFRS based) as well as statutory financial statements for the Swedish and Finish entities legal entities
• Lead efficient and value adding external audit process
• Challenge and support harmonization, efficiency and effectiveness of global accounting processes and controls with the global shared service center and country A2R peers
• Drive future development in A2R processes together with peers in A2R Management Team
• Pro-actively seek knowledge about new business initiatives (incl. M&A’s, legal reorganization, commercial deals, restructurings) and assess and report accounting, vat and tax impact
• Develop accounting team to challenge and improve accounting processes and are masters of Arla reporting rules
• Drive efficient company structure and capital structure with Tax and Treasury
• Strong business partnering with the key finance stakeholders in the organization
• Closely work together with the Group Accounting and Tax teams and contribute group accounting topics
• Ensure an End to End A2R view and further build an extended A2R team together with the Shared Service Center

About you
You will get to use your proactive stakeholder management skills, ability to lead the change in a matrix organization as well as your strong integrity and judgement. With your strong cooperative nature, you take part in many types of projects – from complex ones to very hands-on day-to-day tasks. And as a true relationship builder, you are capable of balancing networking with a clear focus on execution and progress on our operational agendas.

The ideal candidate has:

• Minimum 5 years of finance experience from at a big four firm and/or a commercially driven business environment
• A finance degree at master’s level
• A well-developed commercial mind-set and a strong ability to link financial analysis with commercial, operational and strategic business implications
• Thorough understanding of IFRS and local GAAP
• Thorough understanding of accounting systems, organization and processes
• High interest in digitalization, automation and analytics
• Digital experience with Power BI is a clear benefit
