Head of Continuous Delivery

Group IT is a cross-border organization with 1500 IT employees spread across all home markets, located in Stockholm Umeå, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. Group IT is responsible for IT management in ensuring the long-term focus of IT and adaptation to the bank's business strategies. Last but not least, Group IT deliver a range of IT services to the bank, including development and maintenance.

About the job We are in the midst of an agile journey to increase efficiency and change our way working. In part of this journey Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) is a strategic asset. In this role, your responsibility will be to define the vision and strategy for achieving CI/CD across our IT development teams at Swedbank, and attend to its implementation. You will be responsible for facilitating the necessary changes by working closely with our cross functional development teams. The challenge in this role will be to strike the perfect balance between establishing centralized tools and processes yet still preserving each team’s unique characteristics and individual needs. You will report to, and work in close collaboration with, the Head of IT Development and be part of the IT Development management team. You will manage a small team of 3-4 experts in the area. Main responsibilities:

Defining the vision for Swedbank’s IT CI/CD work including the tools, infrastructure, and processes
Implement and align across all development teams/divisions to maximize throughput and quality
Contribute to a stronger cooperation between IT Operations and Development
Drive the DevOps journey starting with CI/CD
Drive visualization of our delivery pipeline per division together with development teams so we know at any given minute the health of our pipeline.
Drive and define the test strategy based on agile principles including strategy for CI/CD and DevOps
What you need to succeed Past experience in demanding leadership role with demonstrated success
Strong technical experience from delivery of complex and integrated IT systems (as architect, developer lead, or similar)
Several years experience of working with agile software delivery with a good understanding and experience implementing of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Solid understanding of IT within financial services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
Ability to actively listen and incorporate feedback
MSc or BSc degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
Fluency and English, both written and spoken
What you may have worked with previously Development manager with CI/CD & DevOps experience
Architect or Senior development with CI/CD & DevOps Experience
Consultant with CI/CD & DevOps Expericence
