We are looking for a Head of Finance Shared Service Center, to establish and lead our Finance Shared Service Center (SSC) and join our dedicated and energetic team to focus on efficient and effective finance processes and accounting. In this new role you will work from our HQ in Helsingborg surrounded by finance-, sales and marketing-, operations-, business development-, and customer support teams, about 40 colleauges.

About the job

You will be responsible for establishing Mer’s Finance Shared Service Center (SSC) There are three key changes compared to the current situation.

1, Transactional finance processes delivered in-house, by existing and new colleagues, will go through the new SSC hub in Helsingborg. Additional capacity will primarily be recruited in Sweden. Mer employees currently delivering transactional finance, will have similar responsibilities and continue to deliver from their current location, but as part of SSC set-up serving the whole company.

2, As Head of Finance Shared Service Center you will ensure all policies and processes adhere to the control framework and ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, legislative and other regulatory standards by coordinating with experts on group level and Finance Managers.

3, The resources in SSC will report to you as Head of Finance Shared Service Center and you will report to Head of Group Accounting in Mer Group, in Norway.

In the role you will:

- ensure efficient Finance Shared Services operations in line with Mer Finance strategy and ambition
- be accountable for maintaining process documentation
- own Finance SSC service model and lead its development
- strengthen the team through separation of regulatory and business partnering responsibilities
- build capabilities, on key topics like business intelligence and enterprise risk management
- define and monitor operational KPIs and ensure that they are followed

Your profile and key competences

Maybe you have a similar experience from another SSC, or maybe you have experiences in other finance roles that gives you knowledge and skills to take this challenge. You are a good communicator and an inspiring leader and you like to work in a fast pace environment. You have master’s degree in accounting or similar, or equivalent by experience as a Financial Manager and many years of work experience within a Finance function including experience within finance management (transactional processes) or SSC. You also have experience in leading teams in a multinational setting. We believe you have broad understanding of Financial processes, as well as process development and improvement. It is a bonus if you have experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for finance.
