Who we are

Making sure that inbound and outbound logistics reach their destinations faster, better and smarter is also a key enabler on Volvo Cars’ journey to become the number one premium electric car maker. 

We are now looking for a Global Head of Inbound Logistics & Packaging to join Volvo Cars Supply Chain Management Organisation and help steer us on the way to our goals.

What you will do
We are looking for someone who will lead all global strategy, engineering, design, budget responsibility and operations for Volvo Cars Inbound Logistics and Packaging.  You will have full global scope with teams in Europe, Asia and North America with clear focus on network design and purpose driven strategy.
Further responsibilities include leading the transformation of the external inbound logistics operations to support Volvo Cars growth and competitiveness as the company leads the way in electrified premium vehicles.  

You will help optimise the current inbound logistics costs and prepare the network design for the new products and electrified supply chains whilst simultaneously supporting the lean transformation of Volvo Car’s value chain using end to end principles.

As leader, you will not only be responsible to support the growth of Volvo Cars, but also for designing and implementing the organisation of the future for Inbound Logistics and Packaging  incorporating new technologies and systems to optimise efficiency and drive value for Volvo Cars in everything the IBL team does.

Who you are
We are looking for a candidate with senior leadership experience, ideally in another automotive manufacture, in both Inbound logistics strategy and network design as well as operations. 

The candidate will also have extensive leadership experience in global and multi-national organisations with proven success in delivering value and having transformed a large organisation.
Moreover, we look for a candidate who will have proven knowledge of Supply Chain and ideally automotive business including manufacturing and value chain lean principles.
