Who we are?

Parts Supply & Logistics (PS&L) is responsible for delivering the right spare parts and accessories in time to retailers and importers globally. We design the distribution concepts and together with the markets implement and drive improvements to ensure that our customers get their car back in time. The responsibility covers the entire material flow from suppliers to retailers during the car lifecycle. The business is built around three Central Distribution Centers: Gothenburg (Sweden), Rutherford (USA) and Shanghai (China) and 48 Distribution Centers around the world. We enable this by controlling the data, processes and flow through the entire supply chain, end to end. To support this operation, we have a global, integrated ERP solution. 

What`s in it for you?

The four main challenges, or better say opportunities for you within PS&L would be to support the Commercial Transformation of Volvo Cars preparing for the future Growth, Electrification and Sales Online, and at the same time manage the support of the existing car park globally. As a second you will support, align and find synergies with the global industrial footprint and strategy. As a third you will improve the efficiency in the operations and optimize the inventory through advanced demand forecasting and planning. Last but not least, you will together with digital team modernize our digital landscape. 

You mission

As a Head of PS&L you will lead the team, drive the strategy and manage the operations for the entire PS&L scope globally. You will create ambitious, strategic plans for the implementation of:
* Fully optimized Global Supply Chain Design incorporating warehousing, transport operations and packaging design
* Predictive Demand Forecasting and Planning
* Last Mile solutions for all business channels, B2B and expanding B2C

You will make sure that the organization’s mindset is focused on the following strategic directions: Customer First, Simplicity & Speed, Predictability & Visibility, Sustainability and Cost Focus & Scale. 

You and your profile

We believe you have a formal and professional background within Engineering, Business Administration and Supply Chain. You have a leadership experience and proven track record of roles where you had to balance operational tasks, strategic mindset and releasing people’s potential. Driving a change management and being part of a transformation journey in previous roles would be an important factor to be successful in this role.  You are a business oriented professional, who understand the complex value flows. You have reached the level of seniority where driving a transformation and readiness for new business models within a global organization would only be an opportunity for you rather than challenge. You have experience in Supply Chain design and operations supporting ecommerce business. 

You are leading with Data driven approach by collecting data from multiple sources and have a knowledge of using this data in a pragmatical and efficient way. You need to be fluent in English, both verbal and written, as your communication skills will be challenged on daily bases, while trying to transfer your strategic directions into actions, as well as driving and communicating changes. 

On a personal level we are looking for you who is seen as a highly motivated, inspirational leader with a strategic mindset, able to drive change together with the team, and value the Volvo Car culture. In this demanding times it is important you have the ability to manage complexity and cultivate innovation. With your problem-solving approach, an entrepreneurial attitude, and a strong sense of organization-, time- and resource-management you will be leading a change and drive the organization towards the highly set targets.
