HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ division located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
Your responsibilities
Ensure leadership and motivation by establishing an open and broad communication of the principles, objectives, targets and processes including the feedback communication.
Ensuring personnel is properly managed, appraised and developed in accordance with the relevant appraisal and people review processes of the company
Ensure a coordinate approach in all areas with the other sub-functions of Installation (Mechanical and Electrical Erection) and entire Construction and Commissioning.
Monitoring an identification of training needs, planning, execution and follow-up of the appropriate training.
Ensuring that subordinates are properly trained and receive the support they need to perform their duties.
Initiate/Develop and Maintain processes and tools within the area of responsibility.
Strict observance and implementation of the Business, HES, Quality Policies and all Company rules.
Overview the Global Site Execution within the area of responsibility to ensure it is being professionally executed, and manage Global utilisation to ensure all employees within the Installation department and country organisations are adequately assigned

Your background
Master’s degree and/or Engineering degree in a technical discipline
Previous experience in the HVDC Business on different positions
Business and commercial awareness and knowledge
Understanding of risks identification and mitigations
Strong ability to communicate verbal and in written in English with preferably a second language.
Excellence in the management of people and teams
Excellent capabilities in the explanation of complex technical and working processes.
Strong inter-cultural skills and abilities for communicating and managing the worldwide processes, procedures and local teams
