Head of IT Methods and Tools

Your role

You will lead one of the company's most important support functions. IT Methods and Tools (IM&T) is the company's central IT department, which in addition to the traditional IT operations, also drives the development of the company's Model Based Definition (MBD) operations.

Kockums is in a major change journey not least in the IT area, where you will lead this transformation. We are, among other things, about to start using Saab central Infrastructure and Workplace services, as well as being a Pilot for the Group's new secure IT environment for Defense Secret Information. IM&T has a delivery responsibility to the business as we are responsible for the company's unique applications.

You will be responsible for a larger team of people working from both Malmö and Karlskrona and the role requires frequent travelling between these sites. Place of employment is Malmö or Karlskrona.


The main tasks are.

* Responsible for the company's IT strategy and IT Operations
* Improve process efficiency through methods and tools
* Together with the business drive Model Based Definition
* Acting Chairman of the BA IT Council
* Be a part of Saab's IT, through collaboration, set requirements and follow execution
* Handle personell related matters for your team including recruiting, salary reviews etc.



Your profile

We are looking for you who want to lead change and always are looking for the best solutions for the Company. In order to be successful in this role you need to have a strong interest in people and leadership and the ability to get people on board. High communication skills, strong execution and a finetuned balance of collaboration and compromising when needed is key! Excellent skills in analyzing information and problem solving is also much needed.


Required skills:

* University education (M.Sc) in Information Technology or equal experience through work life
* Deep IT knowledge including hardware, software, network, infrastructure, and security
* Considerable knowledge of business processes and business operations
* Technical management skills including hardware, software, network, infrastructure, and security
* Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written



Desired skills:

* At least a few years of relevant experience from above mentioned work tasks
* Considerable knowledge in project management
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish, verbal and written
* Driving license B



This position require that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.


What you will be a part of

As Head of IM&T, you will report to the Head of Operations Office and be a member of its management team. The Operations Office organization contains of the Functions IM&T, Masterplanning, Environment Office, Quality and Operational Excellence.

You will also be part of Saab IT, ie the company's total IT operations. Here you will be able to set demand and requirements on central services and functions, but also be a part of the IT supply chain.
