Nordisk Renting is now looking for a Head of Legal to be based in Stockholm

Your role

As the Head of Legal of Nordisk Renting you will be in in charge of the legal function of the business with its subsidiaries in the Nordic Region. You will be a member of the management team, with local supervision by the CEO of Nordisk Renting and reporting line to Head of Structured Debt, Commercial and Private Banking Legal in the UK.

In this role, you will be in charge of ensuring a high quality legal function with e g the following tasks and responsibilities:

Delivering the legal strategy of the Nordisk Renting business, presenting to the Board and working with business stakeholders and legal colleagues to ensure the timely, effective and efficient delivery of all issues, projects and initiatives. Managing and co-ordinating the delivery of legal advice and support (internal and external) to the business units and associated control and support functions.Transactional support, focussing on complex transactions with underlying real estate and infrastructure assets.Managing legal risk in the business.

The role is focused on supporting the Nordisk Renting business operating in the Nordic Region with its main operating focus in Sweden and Finland, and with transactions also in Norway and Denmark. As the company is an integral part of an international financial group you will also interact with other international stakeholders on a regular basis.

Your profile

We are looking for a highly qualified senior legal counsel who has already gained strong skills and an impressive track record in providing business focused legal advice in the real estate and financial sectors.

You have:

10+ years of relevant experience of legal services in Sweden; ideally in a law firm and/or a company with international exposure.  We see that you have a solid background of working with large  real estate transactions and it is an advantage if you also understand the requirements in the financial sector.  You should combine an analytical and proactive mindset with business acumen, management skills and leadership talent.

You are:

A proactive, flexible and positive person with solid legal skills and sound business judgment and interest. You have confidence in your role as a senior legal counsel. You are also a service-minded person who can combine evaluation  of risks with the need to make decisions. It is also important that you are good at building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally. International experience is an asset.
