Think back to the day you graduated from law school. The feeling of accomplishment, the newly ironed dress or shirt you were wearing, the excitement of soon entering into the “real” world as a lawyer! Think back to the hugs and waves of laughter between you and your classmates. And now to the million-dollar question, would you hire all your classmates? On paper, you were all equal. You had the same education, and therefore the same knowledge. But in reality?

This is a problem that all recruiters and hiring managers face every day. To try to distinguish a great hire amongst a pile of CVs, that are often fairly similar. This results in more than 40% of hires being deemed as failures, people with foreign backgrounds having a harder time getting into the job market, and candidates struggling to show who they truly are.

The company
Alva Labs is a Stockholm-based SaaS company that offers a solution that is helping global companies grow their team in a scientific way. Alva has created a unique candidate assessment platform that helps companies build their organisations with the right people in the right place. By combining state-of-the-art psychometrics, data science, and an obsession with candidate experience, it provides the needed tool for data-driven talent acquisition.

We are growing 2-3x per year and are in the exciting phase to launch Alva in new markets.

The role
As the first legal hire, you will be responsible for the high’s and the low’s. You will spend your time building up the legal function from scratch, supporting in commercial dialogues, helping take Alva into new markets (both our offering and as an employer), and of course, handling all contacts with external law firms. We expect you to come tell us what needs to be done in order to “move the needle” for the company, meaning prioritizing the things that create an impact for the organization and our customers.

One thing that perhaps puts us apart from other fast-growing SaaS tech companies is the high focus on data security and GDPR. You will work with an external DPO and together ensure the safety of thousands of data subjects.

We will arm you with Pocketlaw, Scrive, OneFlow, opportunities to use external specialists, a MacBook, and amazing colleagues. Then the rest is up to you!

You
Need to have qualifications:

- Structure freak-ish tendencies

- Great people skills, you will be interacting with a lot of customers

- Entrepreneurial mindset



Nice to have qualifications:

- A few years working for a law firm

- A few years working as an in-house corporate lawyer



The internal language is English, so no need to speak Swedish.
