Now we’re looking for an agile, networking and organized Head of our Data Office. In this position, you have the end to end responsibility for all information, data and business management needs within Sandvik Coromant. Central in your job is to ensure that we have accurate, reliable, accessible and timely information, and you develop and improve our existing structure further – including tools and support systems – that enable us to perform qualitative analyses and make fact-based business decisions. Your assignment also includes to continuously look for improvements in our models, processes, and ways of increasing the value of our insights.
Bringing your strong business acumen as well as a broad understanding of industry, you act as a bridge between the commercial field and the technical world, and you work closely with our IT organization to find business-focused solutions. You challenge us to consider new perspectives that support our vision and mission, and you identify available opportunities by having the correct information and data. Naturally, you coordinate your work with our stakeholders to meet their needs and strategies.
This is an exciting role, as your purpose is part support, part data strategist and part adviser. You’re also a role model for analytics, data sharing, modern technology and development of new solutions. All in all, you’re a key partner to our senior management and other stakeholders within the business, and you create broad networks to drive synergies and best practices primarily across our Division.
The location for this job is flexible between any of our global offices or sites, and international travel is normally included.
Your background and character
We’re looking for a professional and business-driven leader with strong integrity and broad experience from managing information in a global and diverse organization. You’re skilled in both strategy and operations, as well as in the fields of data management, business control and finance. You also need a broad knowledge of IT and how this is incorporated into a business setting. You’re comfortable working with senior management, driving projects and advising on major business decisions, and you implement strategies, establish structures and resolve any upcoming operational issues. As for educational background, a commercial degree with focus on Business or IT is necessary, and since we operate in a global setting, you need excellent communication and presenting skills in English.
Your analytical mind, systematic approach and core business understanding are keys for this job, and these characteristics support you when solving problems and driving change. With a multi-tasking nature, you’re able to plan and prioritize your activities to meet deadlines and reach results and you take lead in projects and development activities. As a trusting partner to our management, you offer guidance based on experience, facts and sound judgements. On top of this, you’re also a true collaborator – aiming for shared success by inspiring ways and open communication.
