Head of Supplier Capacity Management

Head of Supplier Capacity Management

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
We are facing a new supply chain environment! We have learned a lot from the Corona crisis and all the small and big disruptions to global supply following that.
At Procurement the transition from reactive to proactive capacity management is a prerequisite to stabilizing our supply chain.
Now you have the opportunity to be part of the team making sure Scania’s global production system is able to roll despite the toughest of challenges!
The Delivery Management team is looking for a new committed team member interested in leading one of the most important areas in securing Scania end to end flow. The work we do has a great impact on the bottom line of Scania.
Do you like working in a highly dynamic, cross functional and international environment with a high tempo and great development possibilities? Come join us!
The Delivery Management team makes sure all operational risks, short to long term, that might have an impact on Scania’s ability to deliver on customer promises are handled in a swift and professional manner.
We are currently in an intensive period with many challenges, many of them dealt with globally and often together within the TRATON and Volkswagen groups.
Responsibilities
As head of the team you are responsible for making sure the team delivers as expected. This means optimizing our methods and processes and leading improvement projects.
You take an active role in setting our current and future production program and are vital in making sure capacity of our parts meets the demand from our end customers.
Focus is on mapping, challenging and improving current capacities whilst being a gate keeper towards the demand side – making sure Procurement can deliver on our promises and according to target.
Together with the rest of the Procurement organization and Logistics we strive to ensure deliveries to Scania’s global production system while meeting operational targets.
You actively participate in and lead global forums and produce top management reports – and play a key role in process and organizational development.
The team
The team consists of six experienced professionals where there is a strong team spirit and a clear “can do” mindset, especially in tricky situations.
We believe in clarity and openness, strong collaboration amongst team members and the power of collective learning.
The team members are to a high degree independent in their work and take many decisions themselves.
You
We believe you are an engineer or business graduate with extensive experience from either Purchasing, P&L or both working with cross functional supply chain activities.
You express an interest in logistical and technical issues, focus on results and have a strong ability to take initiative.
Further, you like to handle multiple parallel activities and have the ability to look ahead and think strategically.
You like maintaining relationships and enjoy having many contacts, both internally and externally.
As the role involves a large international network, you will need to be proficient in both written and spoken English. Swedish is an advantage as well as other language skills.
Grit is a personal trait that is highly valued - despite obstacles ahead we see things through. We always do our best!
