Head of Supply Chain & Logistics

In the autumn of 2006, Media Markt came to Sweden when we opened two department stores, today we have 27 department stores and is one of Sweden's largest players in the consumer electronics market. Our headquarters in Stockholm - Stocksund, is a service function for our department stores 
We are now looking for a Head of Supply Chain & Logistics who likes to work in a high-speed environment and is driven by the challenges that occurs.  
 
The position  
As Head of Supply Chain & Logistics, you will be responsible for our supply chain and logistics within Media Markt Sweden. Together with your team, you will lead and develop the Supply Chain and logistics of the company where you will be the center of our organization for all logistics matters.  
In this role you will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location, on time, and at a good cost. You may also be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods. Understanding the whole supply chain is important so that you can coordinate it effectively and liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and consumers.  
The work involves planning and managing the daily operations of supplying goods to our central warehouse and our retail outlets. You’re responsible for designing the strategic supply chain and logistics plan. You initiate and run logistics projects with the aim of minimizing costs and increasing availability of goods while keeping inventory levels down. You will be responsible for the quality and cost of the production of our online warehouse and our central warehouse. Our central warehouse is in cooperation whit an external partner. 
 
In the role of Head of Supply Chain & Logistics, you report to our CPO and have responsibility of today ten people. 
 
What we are looking for 
• Education in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics  
• Extensive experience within Supply chain and logistics management  
• Analytical ability and a quick learner and flexible in new situations  
• Good cooperation and communication skills 
• Used to running processes and projects independently 
• Leadership qualities  
• Fluent in Swedish and English both written and spoken 
• Experience from retailing/online retailing meriting 
• Experience from Supply Chain Software Relex is meriting

We offer a full-time and permanent employment, with a six-month trial period initially. Starting date is as soon as agreed.
