The Director of Value Engineering & Pricing team within Vestas Northern & Central Europe reports to the WTG Sales Management & KAM team and is a key partner to the sales force in analysing, defining, and optimising recommendations in Vestas' value proposition and market capture approach. The Value Engineering & Pricing team works cross-functionally across the Vestas value chain and follows both operational sales deals and strategic, analytical projects through internal and external value identification, value creation, value communication, and value capture activities.
The Value Engineering & Pricing team in Vestas Northern and Central Europe partner with the sales team in identifying and analysing value-creating opportunities in our customers' wind and renewable energy projects, translating opportunities into value maximisation for our customers, and into an enhanced value proposition and significant market position for Vestas.


Responsibilities
Leadership of a small team of Analyst specialists, including providing guidance, mentorship, and empowering the team to be effective. Ability to engage when needed but keeping the overview and strategic focus. You will confidently judge the engagement required from the department in order to provide the best value for Vestas
Working close by and sparring with Sales Vice Presidents and Sales Directors and analysis on renewable auctions, competitive positioning, and value propositions
Strategic focal point for Value Engineering & Pricing across all NCE markets, engaging at the Executive level when required
Deliver solid understanding of technical, operational, financial and commercial levers affecting a wind project business case and be able to effectively communicate internally and externally on these levers
Develop analysis on the competitive landscape, pricing and positioning, and deliver input to sales strategy discussions and capture plans.
Preparation of strategic and commercial analyses and recommendations for Vestas management, supporting the transition into new and changing renewable energy markets across Northern, Central Eastern Europe, and South East Africa

Qualifications
Education on Masters level from relevant areas such as Business management, Commercial, Engineering or Economics
Experience in the wind industry could be an advantage, but not a requirement. Your background will likely be from a similar energy industry, engineering, management consulting
You will have relevant experience from a similar strategic role involving value-based selling, cost/price estimation and analysis, financial valuation
Experienced in providing reporting and analysis at varying levels of complexity, with the ability to judge your audience and provide simplicity when needed
Proven skills in stakeholder management, able to navigate through a matrix organisation, interfacing and sparring with a range of colleagues - Passion runs through everything we do..!
Significant analytical skills to understand the complex subject matter, but able to step back and take the strategic view with solid conviction
Fluent in English - both written and spoken, additional European language skills would be beneficial

Significant business insight and a solid understanding of project life cycle economics
Solid presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate complex messages

Additional Information
The position will ideally be located in Malmö, Sweden or Hamburg, Germany. We may consider highly qualified candidates in Denmark– but expectations would be travel to Germany and Sweden on a regular basis.
