TitanX Engine Cooling in Sölvesborg is hiring a Heat Transfer Engineer.

Position summary
The Heat-Transfer Engineer is part of the Test Center department, within the RD organization at site level. As Heat-Transfer Engineer you perform heat-transfer simulations (mainly 0D+1D) of components and systems. Within your area, you support the further developments of simulations tools (software, templates) and testing methods (bench upgrades, sensors).
Projects may contain a significant amount of research, new developments or new technologies applied to TitanX products, where the Heat-Transfer Engineer will need to acquire and develop new skills through training, OJT and own research.

With the rapid mutation of vehicles from internal combustion engines towards electro-mobility, it is important the Heat-Transfer Engineer has good knowledge of heat-exchangers covering both fields, not only the front cooling components but also HVAC component (condensers, chillers and system).

Main tasks and responsibilities
Work in accordance with TISIX, the Constant Innovation Policy, Project Handbook, IATF 16949 as well as existing internal policies procedures applying to RD and PPE
•    Perform calculations/simulations (primarily 0D and 1D thermal performance and functional models) and coordinate those performed at specialist departments inside TitanX or by external partners
•    Issue simulation reports and simulation documents to the projects
•    Issue test-, measurements-, simulation- and prototype-requests for own projects
•    Proactively participate in technical meetings within TitanX and with the involved suppliers, customers and strategic partners
•    Participate actively in reaching the objectives for the RD departments
•    Participate in continuously improving the department procedures

Qualifications;
Minimum Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with focus on mechanical engineering and thermodynamics
-    Practical experience in engineering of automotive components, preferably heat-exchangers, cooling systems, or HVAC components or system
-    Proven CAE skills, especially Matlab, Kuli
-    Can fluently communicate in English, both in speech and in written
