The department Hybrid Power Supply within Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineering is responsible for power electronics and energy storage systems for vehicle electrification within Volvo Car Corporation (VCC).

Assignment:
VCC is looking an experienced engineer working with the design of a Li-Ion battery pack for hybrid drive systems. This is a great opportunity to join a talented team of engineers in a cutting edge field.
Responsibilities include software specification of BMS algorithms, safety functions, SOC, SOH, Power etc. including signalling and CAN. Supplier management and validation of software for advanced energy storage systems for hybrid vehicles. Proven experience with vehicle energy storage systems, Li-Ion batteries, power conversion, and high voltage systems is highly desired.

Required Competencies:

" MS in Electrical Engineering
" Knowledgeable in battery management, SOC and SOH algorithms
" Familiar with analogue and digital electronics
" Skilled at working with suppliers
" Ability to make implementations to improve component reliability and lifetime
" High level of oral and written communication skills, Swedish and English

Required Experience:

" A minimum of three years electrical design experience in battery systems
" Experience in designing software algorithms and specifications
" Experience in use of commercial simulation tools, such as Matlab/Simulink
" Experience writing specifications and validation procedures
" Product development or commercialization experience
