About this opportunity
Are you looking for new colleagues in a work atmosphere were flexibility, accountability and trust are key elements? The Microwave Hardware Board Power team in Gothenburg is looking for a new talent who wants to join our journey towards the future! We are now in need of an experienced HW designer, highly motivated and with a deep passion for power solutions and analogue design.

We are a group of 18 skilled and expert Power Designers, responsible for research, development and maintenance of board power solutions for the Ericsson Transport Product Portfolio! With Product knowledge and customer understanding we are working together to supply the MINI-LINK microwave network node with the most sustainable and suitable converter designs.

What you will do
We offer an experienced designer position in an engaged hardware design team, a team that is accountable for delivering power solutions for Ericsson's Microwave products. You will work in close cooperation with other power design teams, other HW design teams and will interact with design disciplines across Ericsson, such as digital/radio design, layout design, system design and production sites.

The job is in the area of product development and includes:
Board power design (DC/DC converters, power architectures, POL converters, EMI filters)
Design and evaluation of components, protection circuitry, supervision and control functions
Schematic design and support of board layout
Power design verification
Contribute to the strategic analysis of future design trends
Act as mentor within the technical area
Application of simulation models and power budgets
Production support


You will use the latest design and simulation tools, perform test and verification in state of the art labs. We keep track of new technology, methodology and design techniques, ensuring that our design activities are kept at a world class level.

You will bring
You take initiative and are willing to adopt new methods and techniques. You work well independently, but you are also a team player with good communication skills that establishes good relations. You have worked some years within the field and have:
BSc or MSc degree in electrical engineering or equal
At least three years of experience from power hardware design
Experience in schematic drawing and laboratory environment (instruments, measurement techniques etc.)
Power component knowledge
Proficient English.
Analytic and inquisitive mind
