Do you have an interest in mobile and advanced power distribution and motion control systems? Would you like to work in an innovative team and take part in a major technology shift? Then this could be your next challenge!

Your Mission

As a Hydraulic and Motion Control Engineer, your mission will be to greatly support the team in its mission to deliver the best and most innovative power distribution and motion control systems for underground loaders and trucks. This includes areas like safety, electrification, zero emissions, automation and finding a good balance between performance and cost.

The work will be mostly on a project basis and you will be the R&D's representative regarding hydraulic power distribution and motion control systems in different product and basic development projects. Goals and targets will be achieved via a continuous dialogue with colleagues, stakeholders and sub-suppliers. The position will focus on new technologies and areas of development e.g. electrification, reduced emissions, automation and performance. There will be a high focus on innovation, both from a technical perspective and working methods in order to increase efficiency and speed of development.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role we believe you have an analytical approach, a system-oriented mindset and background within either hydraulics system design, motion control systems or mechatronics. You should have a documented academic background within relevant areas or other highly qualified engineering experience combined with a will to learn.

As an ideal candidate, you have a good knowledge of the power distribution component's characteristics and how to combine, dimension and control them in order to find the best compromise in terms of performance, efficiency and controllability. You are innovative, open-minded and have a strong customer focus. Good collaboration skills are necessary since a large portion of the work will be in collaboration with suppliers and other departments.

Experience in mobile equipment, functional development and a general understanding of control theory and algorithms are meritorious.
