IESB - Student Care Coordinator (SCC)

IESB provides a unique alternative that strongly reflects the Anglo-American education system within the Swedish curriculum. They are held accountable for their actions, with misconduct and the breaching of rules being dealt with swiftly and firmly. A complete outline of the educational philosophy is available through the following link: http://www.engelska.se/ies/educationalphilosophy/ The IESB has a position open for a Student Care Coordinator (SCC) whose role will be to coordinate all student care efforts, including: *Working closely with the Management Team to ensure the safety, progress and stability of the students at IESB. *Ensuring no student is left behind socially or academically. *Administration of student data pertaining to the academic and social circumstances of each student. *Participation in Student Care Conferences. *Leadership and coordination of the Anti-Bullying Team. *Responsibility for establishment of a program for alcohol, narcotics and tobacco prevention. Criteria for the position: *A native English speaker with a competent level of Swedish. *The ability to give "tough love" and diplomatically handle conflict. *Experience working with oWith young people. oThe handling of disciplinary and behavioral issues as well as other sensitive circumstances. oThe implementation of achievement recognition and positive reinforcement. *A background in child psychology is an advantage.
