WHO YOU ARE?
We are looking for you who want to make everyday life better for the many people by building inspiring rooms with smart home furnishing solutions together with us at IKEA. We are looking for a problem solver who is motivated by finding areas of improvement in our way of working with focus on safety for our customers and colleagues.
You have good self-insight and can plan, prioritize, and lead your work. Working together is important to us at IKEA, we respect each other, we realize that we are all needed, we support each other in everyday life, and we work towards common goals. You have a strong passion for quality, home decor and embrace working task related to carpenting with enthusiasm.
We see that you are a trained carpenter and have carpentry experience, preferably from commercial activities, preferably in the construction and building industry or from exhibition installations. You are used to working broadly and have experience both of painting and of tiling.
Furthermore, we see that you have experience of working as an electrician with proven documented training or working experience, preferably you have previously worked with minor electricity connection in commercial areas.
We are a diverse team so, fluency in English is a mandatory requirement for this position.
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
In your work as a carpenter/electrician, you will work on both our customer and co-worker areas with building / moving walls, wallpapering, painting, putting moldings, changing floors, installing tiles, installing kitchens and minor electricity connection, to present our range in the best way. At the same time as it must be nice and safe for our customers, it must be done with time efficiency, cost awareness and with consideration for people and the environment. Your work will really contribute to the customers' experience of the IKEA brand and IKEA as a company with high quality at affordable prices.
Since you work on our customer areas, even during the store's opening hours, it is important that you work with safety and order. But customer service is also a key word as you will meet customers in the department store who can ask you a question such as "Oh what a nice color - what is its number?".
IKEA Malmö also has the responsibility to look after our IKEA store by Triangeln as well as our Home Service point in Lund, upon request you will sometimes have to transport yourself to these units, therefore, you must have a driving license.
You always follow the work strategies developed together with your colleagues to implement all the store's media, such as wall constructions, flooring, painting, tiling, lighting fixture connection and kitchen installations.
You are planning and ordering the materials and resources, ensure that the right price is set with the aim of increasing efficiency and minimizing costs.
You have the ability to cocreate and work with your colleagues to ensure that the store is always in excellent condition and in shape as new.

The position is full time permanent position, contract measurement is 38.25/h per week.
Your work shifts are scheduled Monday - Friday.
