Northvolt Purchasing is a central procurement function serving all entities of Northvolt with strategic and operational aspects of the supply chain. Indirect Purchasing team is responsible for all strategic choices across Technology and Indirect spend for Northvolt. In joining us you will play an important part in building our production plants to the next level.

As the Indirect Purchasing Specialist for our Ett facility in Skellefteå or our Labs facility in Västerås you have an exciting opportunity to work across all Indirect categories. This position is responsible for early and ongoing engagement with internal stakeholders and external suppliers from pursuit through product delivery.

- You enable our stakeholders to run at speed while being cost-effective.
- You will be part of our Site Local purchasing in Skellefteå or Västerås team but travelling to Stockholm as required.
- You will get the chance to have a real impact on our success story in Sweden and see the immediate results of your work.


Key Responsibilities:

- Support project and site teams with strategic purchases and sourcing council approvals
- Route purchasing requests to other Purchasing functions, act as purchasing single point of contact to Site management.
- Develops procurement plan/schedule for the site
- Work closely with internal departments to help achieving the preset production plan
- Act as liaison between vendors and internal requester
- Handle local procurement of materials and services
- Follow up current contracts with supplier and adjust them to current company standards
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Has thorough understanding of the local market
- Minimize risk by ensuring alternative sources of supply for critical items
- Responsible to answer all of the requisitions process and order-related questions

Education/Experience

- A degree in Engineering/Economics is preferable
- Working experience of more than 2 years in Indirect Materials or Services is required
- Experience identifying requirements and clearly documenting specifications
- Fluency in Swedish and English is required
- Experience in working with local suppliers is preferred
- Experience and interest in the manufacturing industry is a plus
- Team player, able to influence and convince other team members and project stakeholders
