ABOUT THE ROLE
The Industry Partner Defence is a senior, vertical owner recognized for deep insight into the defence industry and accountable for growth, market footprint, brand perception, and overall Nexer Group performance within this domain. The role takes a strong One Nexer perspective across Business Areas, bringing together the full breadth of Nexer’s capabilities to win, grow, and scale within the defence sector.
You own and drive the defence industry plan, including marketing and sales motions, and are responsible for the industry narrative, budget, KPIs, and execution. You build and evangelize thought leadership, strengthen Nexer’s market position in defence, and lead strategic dialogue with customer industry leaders to influence perception and decision-making. You also drive Nexer-led and third-party events, develop and engage defence-related communities, and work actively with Nexer-defined key accounts.
Internally, you act as a senior leader and advisor, guiding sales leadership and teams on defence industry strategy, execution, and opportunities. You develop defence-relevant offerings aligned with Business Area priorities and customer value, and you translate data-driven insights into action that supports Nexer’s mission, vision, culture, and growth. YOUR BACKGROUND
We are looking for a senior, commercially driven leader with strong credibility within the defence industry and the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution. You are comfortable acting as an ambassador, coach, and business driver, both internally and externally. You likely bring:
Extensive experience from the defence industry, including industry strategy, sales, or business development
A proven ability to build and communicate a compelling market narrative and thought leadership within defence
Experience engaging with senior customer and stakeholder representatives in complex, regulated environments
Strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience supporting sales managers and high-performing teams
The ability to work cross-functionally and align multiple stakeholders around shared goals
A values-driven mindset and a genuine commitment to culture, collaboration, and customer centricity
