Volvo Cars IT further strengthen it's central Architecture group by seeking an Information Architect. The Architecture function drives solution innovation and optimization through the research, strategy setting and architecturing of IT. The Architecture function also provides solution consulting and governance for IT projects, enabling aligned and timely
solutions which are cost effective.
Job Description:
The Information Architect will work in a small group of highly skilled team members and be responsible to drive VCC work and governance for Information
Architecture. The work includes close relationship with Ford and our sister brands organisations to ensure regional and cross brand consistency.
Information Architecture is a central part for VCC to describe our business and our integration efforts with Ford.
The tasks for our Information Architect includes the following:
Lead VCC efforts to establish a common way to develop and maintain a corporate Information model.
Collaborates with other Ford and Volvo Architects to draft and review current and future state within the field of Information modelling.
Researches, evaluates and makes recommendations for the adoption of new
Information governance processes and tools within Information modeling.
Assists practises/programs and projects in development of Information models with guidelines and hand-on efforts.
Qualifications:
Business process knowledge from Manufacturing Industry.
Enterprise Information Architecture planning and execution with large organisations.
Ability to identify opportunities to leverage existing IT components to drive commonality.
Knowledge of Zachman Framework.
10+ years of progressive responsibilities in IT/business.
Proven design contribution to large-scale programs.
University degree is required.
Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Personal Profile:
The person must enjoy taking lead ship of questions and influence other organization units.
The central Architecture team is key for the success of driving the area of Information Architecture so the person seeking this job must be able to fit with the team and give and take from others.
