Infrastructure Engineer – Container Platform

We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about containers, cloud and the surrounding eco-system. Who crave for automation and efficiency, yet can support consumers as they step onto the modern technology on and around our Container Platform.
Our OpenShift Container Platform is the most popular and growing PaaS in the Bank. We are underpinning nearly all new initiatives and transformations, as well as pioneering new ways of working and a modern mindset. We aim to automate integrations to the underlying infrastructure and to the surrounding eco-system so that our Development Teams have the most stable and self-service offering possible. Going forward we aim to enable Swedbank’s future cloud journey, by expanding our platform to the cloud.

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
- Be engaged on all aspect of the engineering, from decision making and design down to delivery and operation
- Work alongside our great engineers in Development Platforms department
- Learn and explore through conferences and training courses as well as pair and mob design and programming sessions
- Take pride in your work enabling the development community to deliver better software for millions of bank customers


What is needed in this role:
- Being a great team player, with an aptitude in learning, exploring, and collaborating with your team and wider organization as whole

- Knowledge of Container Orchestrators (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc)

- Experience with designing and maintaining infrastructure services

- Experience in scripting languages, integration patterns and API’s

- Familiarity with Continuous integration/delivery area and tools like Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD, etc

- Experience of infrastructure management tools like Ansible, Terraform, etc

- Hunger for new technologies and modern practices

- Experience with running containers in the cloud is an advantage, but not a requirement

- Communicating with ease in written and spoken English

- Relevant university degree or a great reason for not having one
