Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Instrument Engineer to join our stellar team in Skellefteå.
The Instrument Engineer will administrate and lead the instrument calibration program and daily maintenance. Developing and optimizing the maintenance for the factory in terms of reliability, cost and safety.
Key responsibilities:
Interface with quality department, Instrument technicians, and area managers to ensure that instrument key points in the manufacturing process is meeting the quality requirements.
Plan and administrate the yearly calibration program.
Lead the daily work for the instrument technicians.
Wright and manage calibration/verification routines and standards together with quality department.
Train maintenance personal and operators on specific tasks.
Organise and co-operate with external calibration companies
Follow up on performance of reliability of the equipment.
Take proper and fast action when having failures and deviations affecting the production.
Developing and optimizing the maintenance for the equipment in terms of reliability, cost and safety.
Interface with operators, technicians and other production personnel to understand and communicate improvements that needs to be done and has been done.
Take the lead in developing and optimize maintenance programs for equipment.
Train others in maintenance specific tasks.
Follow up on performance of reliability of the equipment.
Make cost and spend analysis of the equipment.
Responsible for larger reinvestments when needed.
Set up long term maintenance activities.
Evaluation of needed spare parts of the equipment.
Together with the rest of the team, being a key player to develop and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications/education/experience
M.Ss or B.Sc degree in technical area such as mechanical, electrical, automation or similar.
+2 years of experience in Maintenance Engineer position
+2 years of experience in practical industrial work.
Fluency in English
Elementary computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Previous experience in maintenance or production, minimum 3 years.
Valuable (but not required) if fluency in other languages, including Swedish

Specific skills:
Good technical knowledge about mechanical, automation, hydraulic and pneumatic.
Proven skills in working with continuous improvements in industrial environment.
