Central Finance, Operations Accounting is looking to fill a position in the 6 person department responsible for Accounts Receivable, Treasury Accounting, Invoicing, Prices File Maintenance and Intercompany Accounting.
You will be responsible for Intercompany Accounting and have the
opportunity to interact with colleagues across Volvo Cars and Ford Motor Company. The Accounting department consists of approximately 60 colleagues.

Job description key responsibilities:

Operations Accounting, Intercompany is responsible for overseeing the Intercompany Accounting Process, which is run from Ford Business Service Center (FBSC) in Chennai, India.
Oversight and coordination of the Intercompany accounting processes. VCC, VPS and Gent processes are operationally performed in FBSC by a team of 4-5 people.
Motivate, drive, and improve for the operations run by FBSC.
Key roles performed by the team in FBSC are:
Intercompany Credit Controlling
Netting activities and incoming Intercompany payments
Monthly closing activities for Intercompany Receivables & Payables
Intercompany Reconciliations activities
Disputes resolution and escalation
Single Point of Contact (SPOC):
Support the team in FBSC
Coordinate/communicate Intercompany accounting updates/issues within the Volvo Car Group
Coordinate/communicate Intercompany issues between VCC Accounting Management and concerned counterparty (e.g. supplier, customer, FBSC, VCC, VPS, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover)
Support Finance projects related to Intercompany accounting
Coordinate and support FBSC and Volvo Car Group during the close process BAM for ISI

Intercompany elimination process:
Ensure that Volvo Car Group Intercompany receivables/payables, loan, interest and settlements are accurately eliminated
Analyse the reported Intercompany balances
Communicate reconciliation imbalances in Hyperion to the Volvo Group
Educate and support the organisation regarding Intercompany accounting issues
Secure Sarbanes Oxley 404 and Ford Finance Manual compliance in the Intercompany Accounting process
As the function has a number of manual and automated processes, there are always opportunities for process improvements and several projects running at any one time affecting the processes
