Manager, Global Oracle project Required skills: - Excellent project management skills - Oracle applications (version 11i) and AIM skills/experience - Ability to manage technical and functional Oracle Applications staff - Minimum of 3 years Oracle e-Business Suite implementation experience - Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools - High level of business and financial acumen, with proven ability to manage scope and budget. - Ability to meet tight implementation schedules. - Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving abilities - Effective organization and time management skills, with ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills. - Knowledge of and ability to utilize implementation methodologies and deliverable templates (Resource Plan; Work Plan; Test Plan; Implementation Plan; Warranty Period Plan; etc.) - Ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute in a team environment. - Minimum of 5 years experience managing information technology solution projects - Must have a history of successful project implementations. Preferred skills: - 5-7 years business experience in a discrete manufacturing and/or service related business - Experience upgrading Oracle Applications, preferable to v12 - Experience with ERP assessment for all core functional tracks (MFG/Planning; OM/Service; FinApps; HRMS/Payroll) - Experience with ERP implementations methodologies/tools- Oracle preferably, but MS Navision and SAP acceptable. Job Description: - Project Manager for Dresser Information Technology department - Responsible for overall success of the implementation. - Responsible for development of detailed project plan, budget, and task management to achieve project objectives. - Responsible for identification, negotiation and procurement of all project-related items, including third party software solutions. - Recruiting and management of all resources (Dresser full-time and contract) to staff project(s). - Drive and facilitate the project team to successful completion of project within budget and on schedule. - Provide status reporting to executive management and team on progress toward objectives. - Make decisions escalated from functional teams and escalate to Steerring Committee as needed. - Manage and ensure all project issues are resolved promptly to avoid negative impact to the budget or schedule. - Provide guidance to project teams on implementation methodologies and internal project processes. - Develop, maintain, and report project progress metrics. - Review, analyze and evaluate business systems, tools and information needs for project scope. No relocation required. Required education: - Bachelors degree in computer-related field, or commensurate experience - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from PMI, Inc This position will be based in the UK, but candidate can be located anywhere in Europe there is an international airport.
