Awake was founded in 2017 and is a technology-driven development company, active within a niche part of the global marine industry, with the mission to fast-forward the future of action water sports. 
We are a dedicated team made up of extreme sports enthusiasts that has a borderline geeky passion for tech, and a drive to keep pushing the boundaries of what marine EV’s are capable of. 
Awake’s first product series consists of a range of industry-leading electric surfboards, that are being sold globally, with a focus on the European and North American markets. This means that a serious amount of your time will be spent on top of our cutting-edge, high-performance electric surfboard.

International Sales Manager for Awake

Awake is looking for an ambitious, dedicated Sales Manager, with an equal amount of passion for account and relationship management, as for sports and the outdoors!

About the role
 
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing, building, and developing key accounts in different countries. You will also be working with direct sales through demos, events and networking contacts and work closely with the marketing team to build marketing partnerships in different countries. As Awake is a scale up, you will be part of building our overall dealer network, as well as setting the overall sales strategy for the brand. 
 
You will be responsible for developing business and go-to-market plans for your accounts,, and be accountable for setting and achieving targets and budgets. You continuously track and record sales of the annual plan, and are responsible for forecasting and keeping track of sales against the monthly/yearly plan.
 
Additionally, you are responsible for developing partnerships with relevant brands and influencers in your designated  area. In addition, you plan and attend trade shows that are relevant to the marine and sports  market. 
You also ensure the quality, relevance, and development of the process including ordering, shipping, after-sales, and support. 
 
Requirements
 
To succeed and thrive in the role we think you have approximately 5 years of related experience within sales and marketing. You have a university degree and experience from working with key account management on an international basis. You also have experience with CRM systems and a solid understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office. 
 
As a person, you are highly self-motivated, independent, and confident. You have strong sales management skills, including knowledge of strategic techniques to reach objectives. As Awake is growing quickly, you have a flexible and creative mindset, and truly understand that the role will both be asking for you to do strategic thinking as well as hands on tasks.
 
Since the role contains international contacts, we expect you to have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. You are a people person that works well with internal as well as external stakeholders and have a solutions-driven mindset with a “get things done”-attitude.
 
We see it as a big advantage if you have experience from the marine, sports, or outdoor industry, or from a high value industry/product with a premium brand.
