Ascade, the global market leader in telecom software for trading and testing of international telecom network traffic, is looking for an Issue Hunter to join our R&D department.Ascade AB is a Swedish, independent telecom Software Company focused on creating integrated solutions for the telecom industry.We work with large telecom operators around the globe and our product, Carrier CockpitT, is the leading system for trading of international telephone calls.The company was founded in 1997 and is today one of the fastest growing telecom software companies in Europe.We develop, sell, and support Carrier CockpitT as well as run international implementation projects at customer premises.Issue Hunter - Test Analyst As a Test Analyst you will be part of our QA-team that is responsible for assuring the quality of new releases of Carrier CockpitT, as well as the quality of service packs.Release testing is performed as parallel projects to the development projects, where the QA-team is working with requirement reviews, test specification, test development and test execution.Service pack tests, where automatic regression tests are an essential part, are performed periodically.As Carrier CockpitT supports the very complex and demanding international interconnect business, we work in a very challenging and complex system environment, with diverse system platforms, large amounts of reference and operational data and numerous interconnected system modules, API's and interfaces.Requirements You should have previous experience of testing and developing tests for complex software in a client-server or web environment.Experience of SQL, relational databases and some programming is a must.You should be structured and analytical and enjoy the challenge of hunting down the issues hidden deep down in the developed software in an efficient way.Experience from automated test tools is meriting, but not required.If you have previous experience from RUP or other iterative development processes it is also meriting, as is experience from telecom or business operation software. You should have an academic degree or professional experience in computer science or a related field.You will be based in Stockholm, but as we work in an international environment you need to be able to write and speak English.
