IT Application Manager - Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions

IT Application Manager - Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions

Arbetsbeskrivning

Within Sandvik Group, we’re passionate about development and advanced technology, and we always aim to offer the best possible experience for our customers. Right now, we’re taking an exciting step in transforming our market-leading business even further within the area of stone crushers and screening equipment for the mining and construction industries. We do this by founding an independent, growth-oriented and customer-centric business area by the name of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions (SRP). A place of inclusive collaboration, agility and innovation - where we nurture an ever-growing portfolio of products and solutions based on the needs of the market, and where pioneering software technology meets the core of manufacturing.
We’re now looking for a business-minded IT Application Manager for this new business area – a dynamic leader with a doers’ attitude and a natural way of building good relations with colleagues and stakeholders. In return, we offer you an exciting digital arena, where new challenges, modern technology, teamwork and problem-solving are all part of our culture!
Let’s talk about your mission
Your overall responsibility is to ensure that the implementation of business processes within the IT application area are done according to set requirements, while making the most of the system possibilities. This is done by identifying and evaluating the needs of our business and design timely and cost-effective processes and solutions. You take lead in the lifecycle management of our applications - configuring program logic for both new and existing solutions, estimating application development efforts and driving change initiatives. Other parts included in your tasks are testing the systems, managing incidents and gaps, and approving development actions to ensure that we're always on top of our game. You set the framework for IT applications and you decide if we should build knowledge and capabilities inhouse, or if we would benefit from outsourcing service for new solutions. This also means owning the IT resource plan for your area, as well as overseeing contractors and projects.
This is a central position with many stakeholders - spanning from IT architects, local applications specialists, portfolio managers, business management and external suppliers - and you make sure to share your knowledge and keep them in the loop at all times. You also closely collaborate with the IT departments of Sandvik Group and our sister organization of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions when it comes to SLAs, core solutions and shared service agreements.
For this job you’re preferable located in Svedala, but other options could be open for discussion. Some occasional travel to meet suppliers and establishing networks is included under normal circumstances.
And what about you?
Since you acquired your IT degree, you’ve built a solid experience from the field – with ten years or more in similar roles, as well as proven leadership experience from a matrix organization. As we’re represented worldwide, good spoken and written English skills are necessary, while Swedish skills is a plus.
Change is something you embrace with open arms, and you have a dynamic way of leading your employees into reaching new heights. With a doer’s attitude you’re not afraid to try new ways and you easily come up with innovative solutions. You know the importance of setting a good culture in a new team and you’re therefore continuously following up on your employees’ development, building trust and good relations – creating a warm and inclusive team spirit.
