IT Consultant

About the Role
A leading financial technology organization is seeking a skilled Software Developer Consultant to join its Risk Modelling team. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining risk models that manage financial risks related to derivatives clearing, including counterparty, market, and liquidity risk.
The consultant will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing existing systems while also supporting the migration of the technology stack to a cloud-based AWS platform. This position involves close collaboration with quantitative analysts, software developers, and specialists from risk operations, treasury, and technology teams to ensure seamless development and system functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and develop C# and Python applications.
Design and implement cloud-based solutions on AWS.
Deploy and maintain databases supporting the risk management organization.
Act as a software development mentor within the team.
Participate in both technical and business-oriented projects as needed.



Technical Expertise:
C# and Entity Framework
Python
Git
AWS (Cloud Technologies)
Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
Bash scripting
Experience with relational databases and performance optimization
Atlassian JIRA and Confluence



Skills & Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to development challenges.
Excellent written and spoken English.
