IT Manager

IT Manager

Arbetsbeskrivning

For Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology, we’re now looking for a structured, collaborative and inspiring IT Manager. Joining us, you will become part of our IT Service Delivery team working towards the sales and marketing functions.

This is a great opportunity if you wish to structure and influence new ways of working, and you’re considered one of our key players in ensuring a strong IT delivery. Yes, a big responsibility comes with the role, but we’re also ready to invest in you and your personal development, and together we aim to build an in-house team with the competence and passion to deliver successful IT operations.

About the job
As IT Manager, you’re responsible for ensuring an efficient delivery of IT services connected to sales and marketing across all our divisions globally. You do this by creating an IT plan that realizes the goals and needs of the business and that is closely linked to our overall business area strategy. You’re responsible for activities related to our infrastructure and systems, and you bring us an IT service offering based on industry best practice. Your daily job includes IT Lifecycle Management, IT demands, risk analysis, continuous improvements and contributing in various enhancement projects – always aiming to ensure a high technological level and the relevant selection of hardware, software and supplies. To drive a competitive advantage for us, you also explore new methods and offerings, and you create the necessary agility in our service portfolio to follow shifts and upcoming trends in the market.

An important item on your agenda is managing the operational delivery of the team – based on close collaboration between internal resources, other delivery teams and our suppliers – and making sure that our part of the process runs smoothly. In addition, you keep close communication with our stakeholders and partners to deliver on expectations and agreements.

We offer flexible working conditions, but your base is in either Sandviken, Stockholm (Sweden) or Tampere (Finland). You report to the IT Delivery Manager for Shared Services within Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology.

About you
For this job, we’re looking for a professional with solid experience from previous service roles within the field of IT – perhaps as a Service Owner or similar – and from working in a global context. You have some experience from managerial positions and the ability to lead and inspire people and develop teams. A background as an IT Coordinator or Project Manager is beneficial in this role, and you’re skilled in stakeholder management and in driving change initiatives. Previously working with implementing agile methods is also a plus, as well as experience from sales and marketing processes. We work internationally, and you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

You’re a self-motivated doer with a structured approach, who truly enjoys digging deep into the world of IT and deliver on our customers expectations. On the other hand, you’re also a very skilled people person – able to create team spirit, easily collaborate with multiple stakeholders and communicate with others to ensure a positive impact. Your leadership style is inspiring and inclusive, and you’re decision driven and result oriented as you make things happen for our team and the organization as a whole.
