Job description
Massive Entertainment continues to grow and we are now looking for an experienced IT leader to join our Operations Team.

In order to deliver great games, we need the best IT organization to make sure everything is working flawlessly. The IT Manager is responsible for the work with our quality of service in the studio and will plan, direct and be involved in all IT topics in collaboration with our games projects.

In this position you will oversee, and continuously develop, all IT support and operational tasks related to the site, such as team movement, inventory management and request follow-up and is responsible for the budget and purchases of hardware and software. You will collaborate closely with other departments in coordinating changes and upgrades and coordinate requirements and expectations with our games projects and HQ stakeholders. We are looking for a person who can guide and inspire not only a great team of IT specialists, but also create change and new ways of doing things in an industry where innovation is key.

This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden and requires working onsite. 

Responsibilities
As the IT Manager, you are responsible for ensuring world class Support Service Quality for our site in Malmö. You will oversee all operational tasks related to the site, while continuously develop our way of working, and coordinate our IT strategy with HQ. You are fully involved in the operational tasks and coach our IT specialists in developing in their roles and enable the project stakeholders with their need to succeed.

You will also:

• Supervise the Local IT team and plan the day to day work, while developing and maintaining the overall strategy
• Gather feedback from and work with representatives from all projects to make sure IT needs are in line with expectations
• Validate Support Request SLA follow-up for this site
• Ensure Software and Hardware inventory follow-up 
• Ensure compliance with Ubisoft and studio 
• Be the technical and managerial escalation level for Massive
• Create and follow up on the budget, making sure that any purchase is in line with the vision of the studio
• Handle local infrastructure
• Actively identify and implement improvements for the team and studio

Qualifications
You as a person

We are looking for someone who is very service minded and has worked extensively as a leader within IT support. You should have a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience and solid leadership skills. You are very motivated and have a problem-solving approach. You should be autonomous and good at taking initiatives.

Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:

• Significant experience in developing, guiding and supervising IT teams, e.g. in companies with more than 500 employees and international environments
• Very good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Possess a scientific, pragmatic and yet flexible approach
• Ability to work well in teams, to cooperate and communicate with team members and stakeholders from various backgrounds and hierarchical levels
• Good management and organizational skills
• Easily able to adapt to changing conditions in an exciting environment
• Expertise in PC and laptop support and latest hardware news
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite
• Good knowledge of printing materials, networking, cabling, SCCM, Active Directory
• Linux knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of multimedia equipment, Mac OS X, ITIL, Agile methodologies, Scripting ability (batch files, VBScript, PowerShell) is a plus
• MCSE, MCSA or MCP certification is an asset
