Coherent Mölndal (Optoskand AB) develops and manufactures optic components and fiber cables for high-power lasers. We are part of one of the world's largest laser companies, Coherent Inc., which is a leading supplier of lasers and laser technology in Science, Medicine and industry.

Coherent Mölndal's customers are primarily laser manufacturers in Europe, the United States and Japan. For our business in Mölndal, we are looking for an IT Site Coordinator. This role includes not only providing IT support to on site and remote users but also being interface between the local business, users and the corporate IT.

You work independently at the site but are part of a global IT-organization and report to the IT manager in Germany. Locally in Mölndal, there is a broad collaboration with nearby departments such as, administration, manufacturing engineering and R&D. You will work to solve technical problems in our Workplace IT and work closely together with other IT departments on issues related to our server and network infrastructure to ensure that all aspects of our business and the manufacturing process are supported from an IT perspective.

Being a member of the global IT Client Services team, your working hours will be shared between tasks locally in Mölndal, remote support to the group's other sites in Europe and collaboration with colleagues from the global IT-team on IT projects. Occasional travel once or twice a year might be needed.

Your main tasks

• Act as the interface between the site in Mölndal and the global IT organization
• Responsibility for the local IT environment - PC, Printer, phone, server, and network environment
• Be involved in global projects and run your own local IT projects
• Set-up and installation of Windows PCs and software and support other workplace IT system, phones and printers
• Work with Active Directory and System Administration Tools
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting

This is what we need from you, in terms of qualifications

• Relevant IT-training and a minimum of 3-5 years in providing PC-support in a Microsoft Windows environment
• Experience of IT Service procedures, strong troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in installation of Windows systems and using system administration tools
• Experience from helpdesk processes/ticket systems, report writing and project management.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with stakeholders in an international and multi-cultural organization
• Fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing
• Merit if you have any of the following competencies: SCCM, Intune, Azure, Office365, printer management, and basic ITIL knowledge.
