We are looking for someone with a broad range of IT experience and good personal skills. They must be active in improving the technical operations of the facility and in preventing problems arising. Must be prepared to deal with everything from basic user needs to critical core systems maintenance. The Role Assist the technical manager in the day to day support of all computer systems. Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operations and problem resolution. Oversee the daily performance of computer systems. Evaluate software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades. Oversee daily operation of backup and archive systems. Take proactive steps to minimise the need for users to contact technical support. Knowledge and experience of Computer hardware, both PC and Apple. Windows, Apple and Linux operating systems. System automation through scripting. Common Windows and Apple applications such as mail and office. Installation and configuration of LAN and WAN technologies including firewall, switches and WiFi. Protected storage technologies. Web based applications using HTML, PHP and MySQL.
