We are looking for a versatile developer to support the needs of our US customer.The technical challenges are vast and exciting, whilst providing the candidate with ample opportunity to increase and enhance their technical and leadership skills.

We will rely on this resource to be able to use a wide range of technical skills to support the development of new functionality whilst also assisting in driving the process improvements and upgrades as they occur.This is a unique opportunity and requires an experienced individual capable of working independently and in a variety of capacities.You must have impeccable credentials and an outstanding track record as well as excellent communication skills in order to be considered for this position.


Experience and Attributes Desired:
The following are essential.
The ideal candidate should have a recognized third level IT qualification and have at least 2-3 years software development experience
Sr.Level Technical experience of Java (J2SE) and JavaScript.
Apache Struts
XML, and XSLT where the candidates existing work experience must demonstrate same.
SOAP / Web services / Apache Axis
UNIX technical experience (preferably AIX)
Oracle SQL
ANT (a scripting language)
WebSphere Studio Application Developer 5.0 and RAD 6
Design skills (Use Case, Sequence diagrams, Class diagrams, etc)
Excellent communication
Financial Services experience a plus
PVCS
The ability to demonstrate initiative, team skills and hard work.
Demonstrated ability to work with users in investigating technical issues and in fact enjoys the problem solving that is part of this role.
Capable of producing documented requirements, developing designs, preparing and executing test plans.
Must be able to remain focused and deliverable-oriented while working independently.
Must provide relevant production Support for existing application.
Able and willing to travel, as this position may require travel to the US from time to time.

The following would be an advantage (in order of importance)

Financial Services experiences
Technical experience of programming with Visual Basic 6 including the creation, deployment and support of COM and DCOM.
Experience of SQL Server 2000 or similar database.
Experience of creating and supporting Crystal Reports up to version 8.0.
Any experience of Adobe Acrobat Writer, Creating and maintaining PDFs.
