Our Head Office for Europe is located in Vilvoorde, Belgium with a satellite office in Skellefteå, Sweden. To further strengthen our R&D Security team for the Banking, Financial and Retail Industry, primarily around protection of their ATM Machines and cash handling activities, we are looking for a passionate Electronical Engineer.


Function
As an Electronical Engineer you will assume all responsibilities in the field of electronics concerning the development and industrialization of new Cennox products and optimizing existing products. Your main tasks will include:
Innovate modern and futuristic product lineup in the field of microcontroller computing and electronics
Assist in planning the roadmap for release of new products
Design and develop intelligent, low powered and cost effective computing system prototypes to improve the existing product lineup as well as to suit the future needs of company business
Develop new concepts in the field of electronics, create first cost estimations and prepare a project plan
Design the concept in a 3D electronical design tool and create all necessary drawings, models for prototyping, material for piloting, tools for mass production and production handover
Write all necessary firmware, create all necessary libraries and work with colleague firmware engineers and software engineers
Create a PCB prototype based on an initial design and convert into a tangible, working model
Industrialize the prototypes into production ready design to facilitate easier production and assembly
Create BOM’s, identify suppliers and create cost matrices
Design and execute test scripts to adhere to the global quality standards of electronic security systems
Collaborate with suppliers and / or customers to integrate the new product with a 3rd party solution
Update ERP system with information on BOM, components, suppliers, costs
Attend customer/3rd party meetings (Internationally) for supporting sales department or to install prototype or pilot products
Manage ECN’s and update all relevant documentation accordingly
Ensure backup of code is available and posted on SVN.

Profile
You have a degree in (Electro-)mechanics and are familiar with CAD software (Altium/KiCAD/Eagle). You have the necessary years of experience with the development of electronical hardware and embedded firmware. Knowledge of project management is a plus. Business travel (also international) is possible. You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French and/or Swedish and/or German is a plus. You can perform your job both independently and in a team.
You are an
Expert in designing the computing systems based on MCUs based on Cortex Mx, Ax or Rx, AVR, ATMEL and PIC
Expert in PCB design for complex miniature circuits based on multiple layers and 3D design
Expert in circuit design with selection of components such as power supplies, sensors, microchips, memories, output devices, connectors, batteries etc. based on industrial standards and operating conditions
Expert in embedded system software development of RTOS and firmware using C and C++
Expert in the development of standalone or web based programming/operating tools using Microsoft .NET, PHP, Delphi or other platform
Expert in the development of IoT solutions with multiple sensors and interfaces for industrial applications
