Arbetsbeskrivning
Buckswood is a private international boarding school.
This position comprises two main areas of responsibility - house parent duties and Matron's Assistant and therefore covers a range of work from pastoral care to domestic duties.
House parent duties
This involves the supervision and care of the younger boarders and all our girls. It involves assisting other staff with "getting-up" duties in the morning, as well as supervising bedtimes.You are also expected to do some activities with the young children, before bedtime especially.
Matron s assistant
The other main duty involves assisting Matron; a large part of this involves working in the laundry and cleaning duties.Additionally, you will be expected to look after children when they are sick. There can be a wide variety of work here and the person appointed does need to be flexible.
Other conditions
You will be resident while the school is in session during term time.The school will provide you with full board and accommodation during normal school sessions. Accommodation is not provided when the school is closed to pupils.The school will also provide you, if required, with three hours English language tuition each week, free of charge.
Must speak reasonable English.
You will be working on a shift basis.
