We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Engineering Competence Center (ECC ) Team – ECC work closely with Nasdaq’s clients to customize Nasdaq products to fit our clients’ needs and requirements. Your work will range from being part of the initial client discussions, understanding their needs, developing the solution and support delivered products in a live, highly competitive market environment; be it cloud or on-prem.

The opportunity to work with other talented people from all over the world. You will join a highly qualified cross-functional scrum team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Developers, and Test Engineers. You will work closely with the other scrum teams developing the core product as well as project managers, technical account managers, and clients.


Your role and responsibilities :


Customer adaptations for post-trade product s
Designing solutions and writing good quality code that solves difficult problems in a highly distributed system with extreme demands on resilience and quality
You will be involved in all stages of the product life cycle : design, implementation, testing, release, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancement
Always consider performance implications when developing and refactoring code
Contribute with your experience and input to sprint planning, retrospectives and time estimation of features, and change requests


We expect you to have:


2-3 years’ experience with software development – we are open to new grads as well
Minimum a bachelor's degree in comput ing science or similar discipline
Robust Java (8 and/or 11) and experience
Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Interest in b uilding and expanding our products and successfully delivering and supporting them in our clients’ environments
Great English, both verbal and written


It would be great if you have:


Clearing, trading, or risk experience
Interest and/or experience from working in the FinTech industry
