Hi there innovators! Physical Thinking is a young startup company blending 3D multispectral detection with AI. We are currently looking for an entry level, part-time technical innovator to join our team.
Job description
This position is about developing a remote and automated heat-leak detection system for urban areas. The main duties include:
· Participating in designing and building a detector prototype (both hardware and software).
· Data acquisition and processing.
· Developing and training a neural network for feature recognition.
Other smaller tasks could include co-supervising master students, writing scientific publications and travelling to conferences.
Skills and qualifications
The candidates must:
· Be a recent graduate from technical physics, engineering, computer science or a related subject. Students within the last year of their master studies might be considered provided that their pace of study is compatible with the work duties of this position.
· Have the capacity to work independently.
· Be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
· Be legally entitled to work in the EU.
On the top of that, experience in neural networks, building experimental setups and advanced algorithm development is not necessary but will be considered an asset.
Job location, timeline, remuneration and benefits
The position has a 50% work pace (20 hours / week), starting January 2023 and for a total duration of 10-12 months. It enjoys a monthly salary of 15.100 SEK, supplementary fitness compensation that pays part of the regular exercising expenses, and a reallocation package to help you move to Umeå. The possibility of remote working is contemplated to some extent.
